Avocado Eyeshadow Is A Thing Now, And We’re Obsessed
In the last few years, avocado has exploded onto the food scene, creating a splash larger than an oversized dumpling landing in a bowl of soup (and just as delicious). No longer are table-top discussions about loving or hating Marmite; it’s all about avo.
Technically a berry with a single large seed, it grows on an avocado tree, hanging like a bunch of raspberries or blackberries. Then once it’s picked, it graces our delicious plates alongside runny egg yolks, sourdough toast, every type of salad, oily chorizo, the list goes on…
Well, no longer is it confined to hipster food dishes. Hold the press: avocado eyeshadow is now a thing. And we’re in love…
The Beauty Crop 3 Amigos Eyeshadow Trio in December’s Pink Parcel is nourished with the super fruit. It’s actually genius if you think about it. Avocados are bursting with vitamins and minerals, so why would we not want that from our make-up? They’re high in antioxidants, which help soothe inflammation, and improve skin health and elasticity. Younger-looking, smoother skin? SOLD. In fact, The Beauty Crop’s entire range is inspired by the nutritional goodies we put into our bodies – only they encourage us to put these superfoods *onto* our bodies, too.
Aside from the skin-enriching benefits and totally cute packaging, we also love how the colors go together like peas in a pod. (Well, more like avocados in a pod.) The brown hues will take you from day to night, plus you can create a multitude of looks through highlighting, shadowing and layering the shades. A neutral Midnight Mass eye? Tick. A dramatic New Year’s Eve look? Done.
We’re marking this cute new eyeshadow down as our winter savior! The only downside is that you can’t actually eat it, so why not create a smoky brown eye and get down to the greengrocers, you’ve got brunch to make.
