Pink Parcel People: Rebecca, Head of Partner Relations

Each week we’ll be bringing you an insight into the people behind Pink Parcel. This week, we speak to Head of Partner Relations, Rebecca.

Pink Parcel

The goodies you receive in your box every month are curated by the talented Rebecca and her team.

What do you do at Pink?

I manage all partnerships at Pink Parcel, building relationships with brands and curating the For You boxes each month. I write all the copy for the Pink Parcel Post and oversee each brand’s campaign and generally try to ensure all our brands – and our subscribers – are happy every month! I’m supported by two lovely staff members on my team – Lucy and Elisha.

What’s the best bit of your job?

Seeing how happy our subscribers are with the For You box, seeing a brand’s campaign come to life after months of planning and the thanks we receive from brands at the end of each month – it’s so rewarding.

What’s the trickiest thing?

Managing the expectations of both brands and subscribers (we try so hard to keep everyone happy!) and solving problems when things go wrong, from late deliveries to missing products.

Tell us about a memory or achievement that stands out during your time at the company…

Seeing the company grow to what it is today – I’m the longest serving staff member and at the beginning there were three of us working from home / meeting in coffee shops! We’ve now a huge warehouse in Surrey and a penthouse office and studio in Soho. Also pulling off our first event – a pop-up with The Vintage Cosmetic Company and securing a huge campaign with Vichy at L’Oreal.

I couldn’t pick a favourite and they’ve all been fabulous to work with. But I definitely have a soft spot for the chocolate!

On Fridays at PP HQ we have team pizza. What’s your favourite topping?

They’re all fantastic, but you can’t beat the sweet chilli mayo – we fight over it every week 🙂

How did you get your job?

I’m a journalist with over ten years experience in women’s magazines, working at the likes of Marie Claire, InStyle and Look. I left to become a freelance consultant to small businesses – and that’s how I got involved with Pink Parcel. It’s been so great to work here, I haven’t wanted to move on.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to follow your career path?

You need to be confident in speaking to people, problem solving and managing relationships. Have a strong background in beauty / business and be able to write. Never underestimate the power of a well-written email or a confident phone call.

If you haven’t signed up to Pink Parcel yet, it’s time to start enjoying your period! Subscribe here and you’ll have everything you need (and want) sent directly to your door.
