Pink Parcel Period Talk: Four Women Share Their Period Go-Tos

Wouldn’t it be easier if we were all more open about the perfectly normal bodily function we experience each month? We think so. This week, our very own #PPSquad will be sharing what makes them feel better when they get their period. Read, comment, share your own. Every story is welcome here.

Laura, PP Assistant Brand Manager

“I loooooove to pamper, pamper, pamper myself like crazy when I’m on my period so I always head straight to LUSH cosmetics and treat myself to a bath bomb – and not forgetting a face mask (cup of coffee is my favourite). I’ll then head home, run myself a hot bath, jump in the tub and chillax… At this particular moment, I am in my absolute element!”

Jacqui, PP Customer Service and HR Manager

“I usually feel really tired during my period, so I do like to relax on the sofa watch a film (with some goodies, of course). Usually a rom-com or something funny. I’ve learnt over the years not to watch a weepy film. It’s just not worth it, I end up in bits!”

“Two words. Dirty Dancing. Not the activity… the film. Patrick Swayze sorts me right out.”

Catherine, PP Project Manager

“I will slob out for a day but then I get bored. I actually find I can compete best when on my period. Aggression and competitive levels are at a high for me so I will take iron and B12 to make sure energy levels are sustained and then go smash out a training session or competition.”
