PP Tried & Tested: The Beauty Crop Wing Woman Liquid Eyeliner
Every make-up bag needs a budge-proof liquid eyeliner. Long-wearing and waterproof, we think we’ve found a jet black pen that deserves cult status – The Beauty Crop’s Wing Woman Liquid Eyeliner.
You’ll find it in April’s Pink Parcel (some of you will receive The Beauty Crop’s Fabulous Flocking Lashes Mascara instead) and if you do, lucky you.
Today, we’re putting the formula to the test so you know how its pigment performs.
What’s the hype?
The Beauty Crop’s Wing Woman Liquid Eyeliner has a jet black formula, which is totally budge-proof and so easy to apply. It features a stern nib that’s shaped like a felt-tip, making it perfect for not-so-steady hands. Injected with argan oil, liquorice and blackberry, the long-stay formula is not only natural and super-nourishing but vegan and cruelty-free, too. And what’s not to love about a product that cares for the world around it as much as it cares for your skin?
For a foolproof way to apply liquid eyeliner, start with the flick. Use the outside corner of your eye as a starting point, marking your skin with Wing Woman’s stiff tip at a 45 degree angle. Then, once your flick has been drawn, paint across the rest of the lid to create a smooth, sultry line. Just remember to hug the lashes with colour to create a sleek swish.
Did we love it?
As a make-up addict, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect liner for years. I suffer from watery eyes, which always seem to smudge my neat, cat-eye flicks. The Beauty Crop’s claim that its Wing Woman liner was budge-proof meant that I had to put it to the test – and I’m pleased to say it didn’t let me down. In fact, when I first tested the formula on my hand it took two showers to scrub it off! This promising start meant that I switched my go-to brand for The Beauty Crop one weekend. The hard felt-tip nib made for an easy application, the formula was super-smooth, not like the lumpy consistency you usually find with waterproof or long-wear liners, and I was impressed when my flicks were fully in tact after a dance-filled Friday night out. The argan oil meant it wasn’t sticky or difficult to remove either, just one sweep of make-up remover and it was gone. Although I’ll always be hunting for innovative new eyeliners, I think my current favourite might have lost its number one spot to The Beauty Crop.
