PP Tried and Tested: BeautyPro Under Eye Masks

You’ve probably clocked that the K-beauty sheet mask trend has now extended to eye masks too – ingenious little patches specifically made to target and treat the delicate area under the eyes. In April’s Pink Parcel, we’re spoiling subscribers with a pack of three BeautyPro Eye Therapy Collagen Under Eye Masks with Green Tea Extract, a quick and easy anti-ageing treatment that promises to cool, soothe and uplift tired eyes. Always keen to check out the results of a new wonder product, we put the eye patches through their paces.

What’s the hype?

BeautyPro’s Eye Therapy Under Eye Masks are part of its award-winning range of sheet masks made in South Korea – the absolute mecca of innovative skincare. Adding these under-eye patches to your beauty regime can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as improving the clarity, tone and elasticity of the skin on this often neglected area of the face. In short, it’s pretty much a gamechanger for energising eye tissue and making you look a little perkier. Free of mineral oils, lanolin, petroleum and parabens, the patches are super-safe to use under the eyes and suitable for all skin types.

The need-to-knows

The patches are scientifically formulated with marine-based collagen and infused with green tea, aloe vera, and vitamins A and E, which together create a salon-approved treatment that promises to send tired eyes, dark circles and puffiness packing. Because you only need 20 minutes max for the intensive eye mask to work its magic, the soothing patches can be used before a big evening out, or in the morning while you’re getting ready for your day.

Did we love it?

I’m a fan of a Sunday night face mask, but I’ll admit that before I got my mitts on the BeautyPro Eye Therapy Collagen Under Eye Masks, I’d never considered using an eye mask before. In fact despite my poor peepers being in need of a pick-me-up, they probably receive the least amount of attention in my skincare routine. This, along with late bedtimes and one too many glasses of wine in the evening, can find me with puffy, tired-looking eyes when I wake up. Just like how sheet masks can give my complexion a boost when I need it, I was seriously hoping this treatment could help turn around my under-eye woes.

I chose a Monday night after a particularly exhausting weekend to try out the eye masks and found them pretty straightforward to use. I cleansed and dried my skin as usual, peeled off the hydrogel treatment patch from its protective sheet and placed underneath my eyes. I then chilled out on my bed for about 20 minutes. I figured being horizontal could only help absorption of the super-ingredients but seeing as the patches stay perfectly in place, pottering around, or sitting upright for a Netflix fix would be totally fine, too.

After 20 minutes, I peeled off the patches and found my delicate eye area looked brighter, refreshed and renewed. Like I’d had a *really* good night’s sleep. For its instant results, it’s one for the beauty bag arsenal for sure.

If you too want to try the BeautyPro Eye Therapy Collagen Under Eye Masks for the first time, or you’re now a fan and need to add a few patches to your skincare stash, head to the Pink Shop to buy three for just £4.95.
