"I cry at everything. My boyfriend Jak says I turn into ‘Sadness’ from Disney Pixar’s 'Inside Out' just before my period. Long day at work? Angry tears. Put on 1lb at Slimming World? The whole world seems to end. If I’m not crying, I turn into a right moody cow and start being unreasonable about everything. It usually only lasts about 2-3 days on the run up though!"

"I turn into the incredible sleeping woman. I can have ten-hours of shut-eye and it still doesn’t feel enough. I also make middle-of-the-day naps my friend (although that’s a weekend only activity, boo). The advice you hear is to blast that pre-menstrual lethargy with exercise but I usually can’t face it. I’d rather crawl under the duvet for a snooze. After the carbs of course."

"My face literally turns into dot-to-dot with the amount of spots I get. My breasts double in size and ache like crazy – like almost in tears crazy aching. The most tell-tale sign though is that my soft, fluffy side comes out. I get so emotional. Want an example? I once cried because I stepped on a snail whilst walking home in the rain. Not just any snail either, a baby snail, and I cried on the phone to my mum saying: “It barely had a life and I killed it."

"I get even ‘sassier’ than usual. My fiery tongue is usually unleashed on my poor mother, who advises tea and an early night. Mums really do know best as the next day my period arrives like clockwork alongside a lengthy apology to all who felt the wrath."
