Remember the French manicure? The classic nude shade finished with shocking white tips dominated the beauty world during the 90s – and now it's back, but with a seriously modern update.
Nail artists are switching out the original, barely-there base colour for cute pastels and bold primary colours, then sweeping clashing shades and metallics over the tips. The style is as cool and gorgeous as it sounds, trust us!
So, as this month's lovely Pink Parcel features a selection of pretty Ciaté polishes, we're using two of these beauties to show you how to try the trend.
Make sure your nails are clean, filed and shaped before painting on a clear base coat.
Paint your nails with two coats of Ciaté's 'Amazing Gracie'. The ballerina pink builds up to a chic pastel shade that pops – a gorgeous refresh on the 90s nude. Just remember to allow drying time in between coats to avoid the dreaded smudge.
Once all your nails are dry, brush Ciaté's 'Sand Dune' over the tips of your nails. The easiest way? Use a small amount of the polish and apply in one sweep. Go over the goddess-worthy gold once more to give a strong, shimmering finish.
Again, once the tips are dry, perfect your mani with a clear top coat. This will stop chipping and add a gorgeous gloss finish. Très chic!
