Just because they have yachts, great hair and Bradley Cooper on speed dial, it doesn't mean they get to opt out of female bodily functions. Here are six celebs talking about their periods (and totally owning it).
Chrissy asked Twitter a question we've been pondering for actual years... “How long before your period do you get to start blaming your period for things? I say 6 days is reasonable, 10 is a ballsy stretch".
We literally love Jen's real-girl attitude to everything in life. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar about dressing up for the Golden Globes, she said: "Plan A was a dress that I couldn't wear because awards season is synced with my menstrual cycle, and it has been for years... [Plan B] was loose at the front. And I didn't have to worry about sucking anything in. The other dress was really tight, and I'm not going to suck in my uterus. I don't have to do that." Relate.
Thought A-listers never suffered the menstrual bloat? Think again. Poor Katy Perry was bombarded with pregnancy rumours and had to announce on Twitter that she was actually just on her period. "Ur gonna make me cry, maybe that's my period tho. THAT'S RIGHT I'M BLEEDING. Face. Better luck next month peepz."
Miley's first period was the worst - on the set of Hannah Montana whilst wearing white trousers. "It was so embarrassing, but I couldn't leave," she told Marie Claire. "And I was crying, begging my mum, 'You're going to have to put the tampon in. I have to be on set.'"
Body confidence queen Kate told Rolling Stone about getting her period while filming Titanic. “I’m not saying it was all happy-clappy. There were days when you’d just think, 'Oh, my God, I’ve got my period and I can’t get in that freezing-cold water today.' I remember standing up and saying to everyone, ‘Listen, if it suddenly looks like Jaws, the movie, it’s my fault.’"
Sarah perfectly summarised our periods in Japanese poem form. Bravo. “Menstrual Cycle Haiku: Crime scene in ur pants. Ain’t no man could handle that. Maybe a marine."
